Prima Marketing Finnabair Acrylic Paint Demo by Djana Venolia

Oi pessoal,
Greetings!
Let's take a look on the new Acrylic Paint by Finnabair for Prima Marketing.

These new paints, beside being acrylic they can be used with a dry brush or as a watercolor wash. You can apply in any porous surface: paper, ceramic, wood, etc. Their coverage is phenomenal. One layer is enough to cover the background.

These paints has a high level of pigments and they have a great shimmer finish. One of the sets, called Opal has a characteristic of having two colors and they will change and display one color depending on the angle you look. Take a close look on the bird, flower and leave on the left. Incredible, right?

We have a short video showing all the cool possibilities with this new paint:

2015 New Tim Holtz Crazy Bird and others

Oi pessoal,
Voces ja viram que fofos sao esses passarinhos do Tim Holtz? Umas gracinhas!!!

Hi everyone,
Have you seen these cute birds by Tim Holtz??? They are adorable!!!
I have the matching stamps and dies for the birds, accessories and words and I had the perfect project to use for our "book Club" at Charity Wings.

This is the page I made for Kam and her theme is: A little birdie told me.

I had my daughter to help me, although I didn't ask for her help :-) and I end up stamping and cutting several accessories until she was happy with the combination.

The page has a hinge and behind the bird Kam will find a birdhouse with the closing sentence. I used some Heartfelt Creations dies to cut the leaves and birdhouse and Stampin' Up! dies to cut the clouds.

Tudo bem tridimensional.
Everything very tridimensional.

Alguns materiais usados nessa composicao. Some of the supplies used for this project:

Aqui esta o vídeo onde eu mostro essas fofuras. Here is the video showing these babies:

Ja que estamos falando de book club, eu vou mostrar a outra pagina que eu fiz durante o crop que tivemos mes passado.
Since we are talking about book club... I am going to show you the other page I made last month during Charity Wings crop event and this page goes to Krystal.

Krystal theme is tangle so I got a page from one of my coloring books from Hot of the Press and I watercolored. I used bronze Smooch to so some detailing as well as Wink of Stella pen. The focal point is the heart that it is on the background, but I decided to give some more life adding a Prima resin by Sandra Evertson.

I used spray paint and mica powder to get some shading.

E pra encerrar... meus ATCs. Last... my ATCs :-)
The theme is Turkey Time so I decided to make my turkeys using dies and punches. So much fun!!!

Ufa!!! Por hoje eh so :-)
That is it for today!!!!
XOXO,
Djana

New Project: mini album in a box. BoBunny Paper, Graphic 45 Staples, Petaloo Flowers

Hi everyone,
Today I bring a special project. Special because it is something I made for my daughter. Most of my scrapbook projects I make to myself, as my hobby, my scape. I am not the type of scrapbooker that makes pages to hand an album to my child when she leaves my house to go to college, not at all.
However when she asks me for a project I make it for her and this is the case.

This summer was very intense: she went to a roller coaster park the very first day of vacation with dad, I took her to a music festival, then was her NAM pageant that she worked to fundraiser, we went to Chicago and then we came back we had a road trip to the Colorado River on Yuma, watched a Shrek Play at the Moonlight Theater and closed the deal with the movie Ant Man. WOW!, right??? I am exhausted!!! I need vacation, well she is back to school and that means vacation :-) Just kidding, she is my pal, my BFF and I love spend any time with her. We have so much fun together and that is why I made this mini album for her. She wants to show her friends at school some of the vacation adventures. I think she will show off really well with this box-album.

Some of the materials I used were:
Graphic 45 Staples Small Matchbook Box #4500542, Antique Metal Door Pull N. 2 #4500548
Bo Bunny Penny Emporium Collection, Borders Stickable Stencil #10736896
ColourArte Radiant Gel Dimensional Paint Periwinkle
Prima Marketing Engraver Say It In Crystals Adhesive Mini Swirls #563943, Mechanicals Metal Winged #962432, Wood Icons

2015 Scrapbook Class: Tabletop Calendar

Oi pessoal,

XOXO,
Djana

2015 Quick Tip #22 - Protect your images.

Greetings!
Let's get onto one more 15' Quick Tip and today we will look two different products and check their characteristics to find out their properties and qualities, learn how to use one and the other and when to use each.

Art Masking Fluid is a water based product. The one I am using is yellow but the die is there just to make easy to see where I am applying.
As the name states, it is a masking capability. It will protect the area you are applying: you can use with a brush and apply in a large area or you can use to make droplets and create an uneven effect.
For today's demo I am using my journaling Bible as a base. Because I don't want to cover the words, I am prepping the base with Clear Gesso from Prima Marketing.
Like any gesso, this is a water based product and dries transparent.
The basic difference between these two products is that the masking fluid will protect the applied area leaving the background as if nothing had being painted. In the other hand, clear gesso is a primer and makes the surface workable and it is also a sealer. Since our pages are so thin, that is a good thing because we are using a lot of water based products and my paper won't get damaged.
Any questions just write to info@NatureToBody.com
XOXO,
Djana

My New Camera Scrapbook Page Luciana Warnowski Class Prima May PPP and Sketchabilities By Djana Venolia

Greetings!
Yesterday I watched Luciana Warnowski's online class and what an inspiration! Luciana entered her layout in a Sketchabilities Challenge (Sketch #139) and as well myself :-)

With this layout I am also entering Prima's May Challenge PPP (Prima Product Pick)

Now, let's get into the details...
I had printed a few new photos from the weekend when I received a camera as my birthday gift. I really wanted that camera (a mirrorless Sony) and have been already taking pictures with it.
Now I can share with you my new page and camera :-)

And there is more... Because I decided to twist Luciana's technique a little bit using different materials to make the background, I took some pictures of my process to make a step by step for you to follow.
The material used to make this layout was from February Special Delivery by Prima Marketing. Every month is a new fun kit. We also offer thekits in our store.

Step By Step:
First I changed my background material from spray to Ranger Distress Paint although I kept the pallet the same. I also gesso the page to create a base.

Then I sprinkle some diluted Distress Paint and Ink Spray.

I got one wood icons painted and sprinkled some Prima Marketing Glass Gliter,

Now, let's go to some spraying... New Prima Marketing Color Bloom Yellow Mustard.

And to not loose my trademark I die-cut an aluminum seal using a new (and amazing) Spellbinders die cut.

The followed sketch had two parts with some the same elements which I particularly like because it unites the layout. I used the aluminum cut out on the left and the left over on the right. I also used the butterfly in both sides and a stamp on the left to match the sketch.

To create my cluster I used Prima Marketing Trim and some other items from the Special Delivery Kit: Sticker, ATCs and Swirls.

I used three sizes of flowers and another stamp to make it up for the stitch from the sketch.

I also used the Prima Marketing 6"x6" Paper Pad to create some tags.

To have my title stand up more I sprayed the Adhesive with Color Bloom.

The inkpade I used in all my stamping was Black Archival Ink by Ranger.

After my elements were all glued down I decided to add some blue Prima Marketing Glass Beads and Micro Beads that I just LOVE so much to use it.

Detail.

And some more detailed images using my new camera :-)

Micro focus... To show the embossed Clear Scraps tag distressed with Alcohol Ink.
